Course Overview

Image processing is the technique to convert an image into a digital format and process it to get an enhanced image or extract some useful information from it. It overlaps with other technologies and areas such as pattern recognition, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and human vision research. Image processing is widely implemented in organizations in numerous industries, like medicine, industry, military, consumer electronics, etc. MATLAB, which is a platform for solving mathematical and scientific problems, is used to perform image segmentation, image enhancement, noise reduction, geometric transformations, image registration, and 3D image processing operations.
